I don’t think we went over Project 1 assignment very well with students. Either we didn’t spend enough time on it, or they just didn’t pay attention because students really don’t seem to be getting it. Either that or they are way too shy to speak up. They seem to be struggling, but not wanting to ask questions. Maybe I am expecting that they will be more proactive about asking questions or coming to office hours since not many of them are first year students, yet, that might be expecting too much. No one has come to office hours or emailed me since I last wrote.
I think this experience makes me want to make the “Introduce Project #” portion of class to be more engaged some how, maybe some kind of activity. I will be thinking about ideas.
